Went to see #omgthemusical on Sunday and it was absolutely phenomenal. OMG!! The voices were out of this world. But beyond the music, it sadly reminds me of how much of our history has been forgotten and how we need to do better to correct this. It is also a reminder of the battles fought by the brave women who had come before us to ensure that the woman always have a place at the table and sadly, a century later, these are issues women still faces today.
With all the emotions this show evoked in me, is also that of gratitude to (1) my parents (may God rest their souls) who raised 3 amazing daughters(plus 1 son), not to accept anything less than the best because they are women, (2) my husband, who has always supported my dreams and ambitions and has never tried to hold me back, and (3) a wonderful organisation #unilever who promotes diversity and an enabling workforce where women thrives.
